Large architectural pieces, beautiful cabinets, vintage metal lockers, drawers, shelves... just a little of what we discovered and purchased on our trip to City Salvage and Design in Grand River, Ohio.

In trying to take a "day off" from working, I thought it was a great time to check out one of the Ohio businesses that I follow and have been curious about.  Once I confirmed that my partner in junking (Jessica, of Sassyfrass) could come along I was ready to hit the road!

We made it! And I'm not sure what this place down the street from City Salvage was but it was wacky and we had to get pics of it!

This is Amy, the owner of City Salvage and Design, with Jessica and I after we figured out the puzzle of loading the car.  Alas, not all of it fit.... so guess who's going back with a trailer?! Bonus!

Another bonus was that Amy wrote down addresses for several estate sales in town so that we could do more hunting and get more bang for our gas dollars.  We hit them both and them some!

These are our
"THE CAR IS PACKED!" smiles.

And that is Jess doing something ornery (don't worry Jess, I won't tell!) in a great Salvation Army we checked out as our second stop.

And in the end, every adventure comes down to this..... FOOD!!  We drove into Painesville and found a great little place, the Sidewalk Cafe. With two huge vintage milkshake machines at the bar you know it's going to be good. A full belly is always a great ending to a road trip.

    Who Am I?

I've tried it all...hair stylist/faux painter/stay at home mom/jewelry artist/late in life college student/retail shop owner/design consultant/home stager.  Through it all my favorite things to do have been sharing DIY ideas, thrifting, and making something out of nothing.
Combine some of those and you get the perfect storm; Owning, renovating, styling and hosting in an airbnb!  Chris and I put our own touches to the structure, then I thrift and build most of what I need to create a unique and special environment for guests to enjoy.  Being an Airbnb host is so fulfilling for me!   Connecting guests with the communities and all they have to offer  as well as creating great memories is just the best!
