Too Easily Distracted

With so much to do less than a week before Christmas I got busy.... and made a driftwood mirror! Yep! That was totally not on the to do list for today.

I bought this cheap full length mirror at TJMaxx a year ago with every intention of painting it a fun color right away. Instead, I started a business and have done not a thing to my house ever since.... including clean! And then today I stumbled upon this.....

There was really no plan here, and I started sorting by size and heating up the glue gun.

....my trash bags of driftwood we drug home this summer.  Suddenly, the baking and candy making sounded much less fun than doing something for ME!  I literally walked around trying to think of something to do with the wood to spruce up the house and then I saw the ugly mirror and got busy.

I love how it turned out! I used pretty much all the wood but my mirror makes the room feel fresher.  Now if I could just get the walls painted... maybe for New Years!  I still have to bake but tomorrow sounds like a better idea.
