This past Sunday we had a little Rust & Found shindig for close friends and our family. (any excuse to drink wine!) I have to admit I was nervous! My mom, step dad, youngest sister and her hubby were all going to see the store for the first time. Would it be all they imagined? More? They have all since reported how proud they are of me... what more could I ask for?
It was a chance to thank friends that had helped in various ways.. from painting, scrubbing, hauling and designing, to inspiring me with their own successes! A few of my closest friends offered to supply the food and drinks, my kids did some baking to provide sweet treats and Chris surprised me with a fun cake :) It was perfect!! I really enjoyed getting to show off my hard work and to share it with those who know me best, and who know that I have talked about this business most of my adult life but needed to be nearly 50 to have the courage! lol Good wine, good food, family and good friends, lots of hugs...The best!
I also have to thank my super talented son Cameron for taking tons of wonderful photos throughout the evening. Love that little perk! :D
Who Am I?
I've tried it all..hair stylist/faux painter/stay at home mom/jewelry artist/late in life college student. Through all of those former "careers" I have had one constant passion.. a love of junk, flea markets and creating! It took me 30 years to find the courage do this full time and I have finally settled on what I'm going to be when I grow up!
