Are you new to Rust & Found and wondering "why are they only open monthly?" Here's some info to help you understand how our store events work.... When we opened our doors March 2013 the goal was to offer an entirely new shopping experience every time we open. To have our customers excited to return monthly and curious about what they will find inside, the same way we feel every time we visit our favorite flea markets or take a new picking trip. Offering you a curated treasure hunt. An Event! All month long new items are being found, cleaned, restyled, wired, welded, painted, repaired, built, repurposed or upholstered and the list goes on. My favorite things are to build unique industrial furniture and decor using old metal and reclaimed wood, and to create new and unique lighting our of the unexpected. I'm lucky to have a hubby that enjoys road trips and junking with me, so as often as we can we take to the road and travel through other states looking for the perfect find. We have gone as far south as Alabama on picking trips. My road trip bucket list is growing, and my desire to bring awesome items back to Ohio gets bigger every time a customer gets excited about a find brought into the shop. We love offering hand made products and supporting local artists as well as new pieces that are perfect to mix in with the old. You will find locally handcrafted jewelry, candles, handbags, artwork and decor. It's important to know that while we are open we continue to restock and after we close Friday night we reset the shop and bring in a trailer full of new things. Saturday is another new day and full of items that were not available Friday! Feel free to come both days to not miss a thing! Sunday's are typically our mark down day. When something has hung around for a few months we want it to find a new home in order to keep the store full of new collections. So many customers have become great friends and it's fun to catch up each month! The monthly openings often feel like a get together.
You can get peeks of what's to come and reminders of show dates if you follow along on Facebook, and Instgram. Join us for our next event and feel free to send any questions!
