Who knew when Chris gave me the push last May ( and gave up his garage.... and basement, and office) that almost exactly a year later I would be opening a store!! This weekend went so much better than expected. No hiccups, nothing I felt I had forgotten or wished I had done differently. I'm thankful for all the help from Chris, Haley, Jill and Jessica!! Without that crew I would have been a little more crazy! lol
I can't even explain how awesome it was to meet all the wonderful people that have followed me by virtue of the internet, since the very beginning! Everyone came in with a smile on their face and excited to see what I had been up to. I want to thank each and every one of you! Some new friends came in with gifts and hugs, others came in to share ideas or to find some inspiration. But no matter what they came for, it gave me so much encouragement!!
This opening weekend left me feeling that I had made the right decision at the right time in my life! No more excuses of kids to raise or not enough time. I was ready and my family was ready to be there for me whether I was a success or if I failed. All of you have been there for me too, with your posts and comments on my Facebook page or on my website. They kept me boosted and excited and I am so thankful so many of you made it to Canal Fulton this weekend. I loved hearing that the Saturday morning "talk" at the local diner was the "regulars" complaining about the lack of parking when they came into town for just a cup of coffee! Love it!!! We filled the town up for 3 days and I can't wait to do it again in June. Thank you!!!
A few Before & Afters.... a pared down shop for sure!
Who Am I?
I've tried it all...hair stylist/faux painter/stay at home mom/jewelry artist/late in life college student/retail shop owner/design consultant/home stager. Through it all I've loved doing home renovations, DIY and thrifting.
