...and I wish it were me! Thankfully one person had a great idea came up with Pinterest, so that now we can all find other people's great ideas.

I'm addicted to pinning! I save pins, like pins and love to annoy my friends and family by sending pins. I especially love to send those funny e-cards... who doesn't love those? I thought it would be fun to share some  pins I have saved on my "Great Ideas" board.  Winter seems to be taking forever to give us a break so maybe some new tricks to try on a day off will be good for a pick me up.  Some have a link to a tutorial and other are just fun to look at.

You may have seen these around the shop as filler in my displays.  Find some cheap thrift store jars, vases and glasses then hit the paint store! These
simple tips will show you how simple it is to add some color to any space in your home.

I'm totally loving this chalkboard serving tray idea!  This quick tutorial will show you how simple it is to make your own.  I would throw in the extra suggestion of thrifting for your tray. You can use just about any surface, and there are tons of inexpensive platters or trays in metal and glass at your local thrift store.  Have fun writing your food descriptions!

Love this great idea someone had pinned from their etsy site, where they had this item for sale (now sold).  A vintage (or you could use new) cabinet pull on a chalkboard to hold your chalk.

Why didn't I think of this? Use a bungee cord to layer a sheer or light blocking curtain behind your drapes.  This would also be great for temporary situations.

I've saved the best for last!  How beautiful would this be in your kitchen or dining room?  Your mother's or grandmother's recipes framed under glass.   This photo is more about postcards, but I think hand written recipes would be perfect!

    Who Am I?

I've tried it all...hair stylist/faux painter/stay at home mom/jewelry artist/late in life college student/retail shop owner/design consultant/home stager.  Through it all my favorite things to do have been sharing DIY ideas, thrifting, and making something out of nothing.
Combine some of those and you get the perfect storm; Owning, renovating, styling and hosting in an airbnb!  Chris and I put our own touches to the structure, then I thrift and build most of what I need to create a unique and special environment for guests to enjoy.  Being an Airbnb host is so fulfilling for me!   Connecting guests with the communities and all they have to offer  as well as creating great memories is just the best!
