This road trip was a "go picking in the south or bust" sort of trip.... And BUST is nearly what it was! Hotels rented, oil changed, trailer hooked up and go!.....No? Wait what? Carolina snow storm? Tennessee ice and record low temps?? Well we are from northern Ohio folks, and we can handle a little cold and ice. The lesser of two evils seemed to be Tennessee. Travel was snowy and slow until we had both Ohio and Kentucky in the rear view mirror. At least in Nashville we are getting to see grass. Remember grass?
It's the hunt for good food that drives the hubby and last year we heard so much about Pucketts that we had it on the bucket list for this trip. After a freezing cold morning at the Nashville Flea we headed for the gorgeous town of Franklin. A must do if you are in the area. Loads of shops, food, music and beautiful historic homes.
I had planned a visit to City Farmhouse to meet Kim and see her beautiful shop and just drooled over the chippy vintage goodness that filled her store.
Also in Franklin I fell in love with the inspiration inside The Scarlett Scale.
A few more pics of vintage inspiration, and now off to find somewhere warm for dinner and plan tomorrow's route.
Who Am I?
I've tried it all..hair stylist/faux painter/stay at home mom/jewelry artist/late in life college student. Through all of those former "careers" I have had one constant passion.. a love of junk, flea markets and creating! It took me 30 years to find the courage do this full time and I have finally settled on what I'm going to be when I grow up!
