Ahhh the memories... last years haul. And here we go again! When you hit the road for the Worlds Longest Yard Sale, which spans 5 states (we will hit 4 of them), there
is some serious prep involved!
My prep is very different from Chris's. Tonight he has to figure out why we have a signal out on the trailer, grease the axles and make sure we have all the straps and things we need. All important things. But my job is what makes the trip easier.... FOOD, arrange lodging, pack..... rain ponchos, baby wipes, more food, water, audio books, music and oh yeah, snacks! Get the picture? We like to eat! haha This trip is 4/5 days in the car and it has to be fun or it's not worth the work. Last year every day from Alabama to Ohio was in the mid 90's so we are praying to not repeat that heat. If you haven't seen last years blog, head back to Aug. 2014 for several posts from the road. Making new friends and hunting down unusual things is what it's about!
The official start date of the 127 Sale is Thursday August 6th, but we will be starting this weekend. Many of the larger venues set up and sell early, so we hit those on the way south this year, and then by mid week on the way back we will stop at those that just set up. Trying a new system... wish us luck!
Follow along on the blog and instagram to see what we are
up to on the trip!
