Reflections...

4 Road trips south. Dozens of auctions and even more flea markets. 9 Show & Sell Events. New connections, experiences and opportunities.  Countless customers that have become "friends".  What a year!

I am thankful for all of those fun events, trips and new friends.... but most of all I'm thankful for the smiling faces that come through the door each month to support a small local business, for the people that tell me they enjoy my business model of monthly events because it's an exciting treasure hunt, for the customers who share information about the store which sends new faces in each month exclaiming "it's my first time here!" with great enthusiasm.  I'm grateful for my beautiful friends that enjoy the fun atmosphere during shows and are willing to help both me and our guests.

I work harder than I ever thought possible. The "free empty nester" days/hours my hubby and I would have shared are instead filled with sweat, rust, dirt, sore muscles and short nights, but neither of us would change a thing! Ending the second year in business has solidified that thought.  It's all worth it for the time also filled with laughs, new friends, road trip slap happy tiredness, and the confidence I have gained after waiting until mid-life to find my courage to do what I love full time.

It feels like it was just March and we were celebrating our first anniversary in business. I have all of you to thank for making it two years, and I am super excited about possibilities for next year!

Hitting the road this year was an adventure in
people watching, trailer packing, bargaining and junk food!

    Who Am I?

I've tried it all...hair stylist/faux painter/stay at home mom/jewelry artist/late in life college student/retail shop owner/design consultant/home stager.  Through it all my favorite things to do have been sharing DIY ideas, thrifting, and making something out of nothing.
Combine some of those and you get the perfect storm; Owning, renovating, styling and hosting in an airbnb!  Chris and I put our own touches to the structure, then I thrift and build most of what I need to create a unique and special environment for guests to enjoy.  Being an Airbnb host is so fulfilling for me!   Connecting guests with the communities and all they have to offer  as well as creating great memories is just the best!
