Out with the old... in with the new! Replacing the large white cabinets that held jewelry, candles and knick knacks has been a great project. It's also one you can do yourself at home for updated storage and display solutions.
Create openness and an industrial feel.... two things I love!
The start was a little tricky on my own and I would recommend having another set of hands to hold up the pipe while you set your first board. The pipes arm rest on the wall but it's pretty unstable at this step.
The top bar is the only place the whole thing attaches to the wall, so minimal holes.
There is now one of these on either side of the checkout desk. I absolutely love how they fit in better with the shop style and with the industrial furniture I love to create! The final thing to add is some lighting to brighten up the treasures displayed there. Maybe next week....
Who Am I?
I've tried it all...hair stylist/faux painter/stay at home mom/jewelry artist/late in life college student/retail shop owner/design consultant/home stager. Through it all my favorite things to do have been sharing DIY ideas, thrifting, and making something out of nothing.
