I wanted to share some local highlights that go hand in hand with a trip to my shop. The longer I am in Canal Fulton the more I'm learning about all there is to do!! I have lived 10 minutes down the road for 19 years and never realized what a little hidden treasure was right beneath my nose.

So many of you come visit me from a distance and I'm sure you would have some fun making more of your day and your drive.  My local friends and customers may also be unaware of whats available right here in this little town....   So let me share some of what I have found so far.... ICE CREAM!!!  There are two places in the historic district. One being the creamery right on the tow path, and the other (that is making me fat) is Oser's.  I swear there has to be 80 flavors!

Still on the food train of thought, there are lots of options but a favorite of ours is V-Li's Thai Cuisine.  We have actually patronized this hot spot for years and it's wonderful!  Directly across the street from me is the Dragonfly Tea Room and gift shop.  They also take reservations for lunch, so bring a carload to shop at Rust & Found then walk a few steps to eat!

I recently visited  The Canal Fulton Glassworks & Art Gallery just a few blocks away.  It was a wonderful collection to see and a great place for unique gifts. Also in town is Stiles Art Studio & Gift Shop.  Both of these businesses also offer classes.

Are you getting the picture? haha..  lots to do on a weekday or on Saturday after you shop!

If it's a warm sunny day the Canal Fulton Canoe Livery can send you by land or by water! Bike rental for the beautiful Ohio Erie Canal Towpath is available as well as canoes and kayaks.  We will be hitting the water this summer for sure!

There a many, many more places to visit in town and this is just a sampling of a few that you can just park, shop and walk to.  Just taking a stroll on the boardwalk that runs behind my shop is a nice way to enjoy your milkshake! Can you tell I have ice cream on the brain?

I invite you to click on the links and look over some websites, then plan your trip down for this months Show & Sell days. (June 13th, 14th, 15th)

I grew up going to Oser's on Sunday nights after Youth Group at Chapel of the Cross church in North Lawrence. I must have sat in the doorways on that block eating ice cream a thousand times!

    Who Am I?

I've tried it all...hair stylist/faux painter/stay at home mom/jewelry artist/late in life college student/retail shop owner/design consultant/home stager.  Through it all my favorite things to do have been sharing DIY ideas, thrifting, and making something out of nothing.
Combine some of those and you get the perfect storm; Owning, renovating, styling and hosting in an airbnb!  Chris and I put our own touches to the structure, then I thrift and build most of what I need to create a unique and special environment for guests to enjoy.  Being an Airbnb host is so fulfilling for me!   Connecting guests with the communities and all they have to offer  as well as creating great memories is just the best!
