![]() After long neglecting my blog, I finally had inspiration for a post! DIY! You all know it's my favorite thing... why buy when you can do it yourself, and the pride you feel is worth the work. I will admit that there a times my project did not save me money in the end, however it was still great satisfaction from going it alone. On the flip side, there are times I wish I had just caved and bought the darn thing! These are some how-to tutorials put together by other great bloggers, and are some great summertime projects to perk up your home, wardrobe or idea great for gift giving. Wedding season is here and a personalized gift is the best! ![]() Monogrammed Mug Wedding gift or great for Fathers Day! One of the my favorite places to gather inspiration is Anthropologie, so I love this idea for these monogrammed mugs. And how about filling them with goodies? See "how" at Dukes and Duchesses, along with other great ideas. ![]() Nestled Ring Dish The inspiration for this adorable piece is another Anthropologie goody. Some friends and family members may be getting these for Christmas this year, so if you are one of those people and reading this... just move on. You will find a great tutorial at Doe A Deery. Collecting your items to create these adorable ring dishes can be fun as it might take you through your local thrift store and then on to the toy section at the dollar store, where you are bound to buy more things that you need because they are a DOLLAR! ![]() Gold Dipped Tote How about making a little something for yourself? Now we head over to one of my favorite home decor stores, West Elm, for this inspiration. I love how simple the how-to is from Delineate Your Dwelling. What a great beach bag or travel bag for summer! I would love to find a smaller one to use more every day. Of course you can throw your own twist onto this with your favorite colors or maybe add a monogramm. ![]() Industrial Curtain Rod Now you know how I love industrial. This is an awesome way to put just a touch of it into your room if you only want a little of the look. Continuing our West Elm hacks with these curtain rods, at a price of $69 - $99 in the store, you know there is a better and less costly way! Head over to the Making Lemonade blog to see an easy to follow tutorial for adding this element to your home. ![]() Scarf Flats We head back to Anthropologie to see these adorable flats, but with a steep price tag. I LOVE that this super smart gal from Stars for Streelights takes you straight to Payless to get started. You can of course find your basic shoe at your favorite store, but if you are just looking for something for that one little outfit then this thrifty price is great! Her version is very simple if you can use a needle and thread. How about purchasing and extra scarf to coordinate in your hair or on your bag? ![]() Atom Art Bowls I am sooo doing this one soon! Having recently made some attempts to lighten and brighten my kitchen, I have switched out my dishes to some inexpensive white ones, and my love for color is crying out to mix in some extra pieces like these Atom bowls from Anthro.
