We are on a roll! 11 hours in and out of the car flew by!  We started at the bottom of the sale and made it through Alabama, the corner of Georgia and part way through Tennessee, all in one day!  Lots of people on The Longest Yard Sale Facebook page warned of only making it 60 miles or less.  We blew that out of the water! haha I think we are yard sale snobs, because if you didn't have at least 5 tents or something huge out front..... we blew past you!  Baby toys and clothes? Not stopping!  2 little tables? Not stopping!  But if you have some junk that is rusty, lots of furniture or just tons of tents... hit the brakes!

We started today in a fog... literally!  The whole first half of today was spent driving on Lookout Mountain.  At least it kept the yard sales nice and cool, but once the sun came out so did the heat and the incredible views!  It was hard to focus on the road with such beautiful scenery passing us by.  The photo above left of the rocks was a place hang gliders were taking off from.  That was a very cool thing to see!

I love this first photo because it is sooo Chris.  Making new friends as always!

This is my favorite purchase from today.  It's an antique vegetable bin from Europe, but I have bigger plans for it!  Anyone have a guess?

We will be hitting much more traffic tomorrow, and an area of large sales so I think it will be a slower day on the odometer....  And the gas tank!

I'll let ya know!

    Who Am I?

I've tried it all...hair stylist/faux painter/stay at home mom/jewelry artist/late in life college student/retail shop owner/design consultant/home stager.  Through it all my favorite things to do have been sharing DIY ideas, thrifting, and making something out of nothing.
Combine some of those and you get the perfect storm; Owning, renovating, styling and hosting in an airbnb!  Chris and I put our own touches to the structure, then I thrift and build most of what I need to create a unique and special environment for guests to enjoy.  Being an Airbnb host is so fulfilling for me!   Connecting guests with the communities and all they have to offer  as well as creating great memories is just the best!
