Captains log: It has been five days on the road, and in the car 13 hours a day and we are still married!
We have met some super nice people along the way! Thursday night it was an older couple selling vintage cowboy boots along the road (and yes we scored 3 pair!) and enjoyed about an hour in the dark with them. They even shared their bug spray. Friday it was a group of three ladies from Florida that invited us to share their table at lunch because of the crowds. Today it was Brewster McLoud! A minister selling funky and fabulous things. He told us about several places in Lexington and Cincinnati we should not miss, and was happy to share some design ideas with me. Lots of others along the way these past 5 days.
The trailer is loaded!! I was feeling bummed this morning as we passed by fields of junk, and felt today would be a bust but it turned out near the end to be a very fruitful day! Wedged some larger pieces in so tight I am really not sure how this is all coming out tmrw.
We have learned a lot this trip and already have our plans for next year! As I start working fast and hard this week to get ready for next weeks open days I will be posting lots on Facebook.
Oh! And I almost forgot!! Today we were recognized again! A big hello to Lisa Crum from West Virginia! I'm so glad you stopped us and said hello, and hope to see you later this month.
I'm writing this blog post from my phone since we are still driving home tonight , so I have no idea how this post will look! Lol
Thanks so much for following us on our journey this week, through all the dust, sweat and silly pictures. Here are a few more from yesterday and today.
Who Am I?
I've tried it all..hair stylist/faux painter/stay at home mom/jewelry artist/late in life college student. Through all of those former "careers" I have had one constant passion.. a love of junk, flea markets and creating! It took me 30 years to find the courage do this full time and I have finally settled on what I'm going to be when I grow up!
